About this model
A low, wide boulder with grey stone patched with green moss and lichen. It looks old and settled into the ground. The rock is about 7.5 ft long, 5 ft deep and 2.5 ft tall, covering roughly one and a half squares.
Place it in forests, riverbanks, hillsides and wild gardens. At that height it is low cover for a crouching character and something to stand on for a better view. Mossy rocks give woodland maps a sense of age and dampness, and a group of them makes a natural fighting position.
Ideas for the table
- Bandits wait behind the mossy boulder beside the forest road.
- A druid's sigil carved under the moss marks this rock as a waystone between groves.
- Pushing the boulder aside reveals a burrow full of stolen trinkets.
