Terms of use

The service

TerrainTale is provided as-is for running tabletop games. Sign-up is free. We may change or discontinue features; your exported scene files are always yours.

Plans, payments and refunds

The free plan includes the builder, the built-in library, play mode and shared rooms, and keeps 1 saved scene in your library. Premium keeps up to 200, adds your own files on the table (imported 3D models and pictures as token portraits), and costs $6 per month or $48 per year, plus any tax that applies where you are; the current prices are always on the pricing page. Payments are processed by Creem as merchant of record, under Creem's terms.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, which you can do at any time from your account page; Premium then runs to the end of the period already paid for. Nothing you saved is deleted when a plan ends, but you cannot add scenes beyond the free limit, or bring in new models or portraits, until you are under it or upgrade again. If Premium did not work out, email [email protected] within 14 days of a payment and it is refunded in full. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself, and tell us if you think they have been compromised. One person per account. Do not use the service to harass others or to break the law.

Content

Models and images you upload stay in your browser; you are responsible for having the right to use them. The built-in library is yours to use in your games; its sources and licences are listed on the About page.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the service up but make no guarantee. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data or downtime; back up scenes you care about by exporting them.
