About this model
A large, angular rock with a sandy brown surface and a sloping face, touched with moss along its creases. It looks like a fallen chunk of cliff. The rock is about 7 ft wide, 9 ft long and 4 ft tall, roughly one and a half by two squares.
Place it on hillsides, at cliff bases, in forests and along rivers. It gives solid cover to someone crouching and a climbable surface for those wanting height. Its slope makes it easy to scramble up from one side, which suits a dramatic last stand.
Ideas for the table
- The party makes a last stand on top of the sloping rock as the flood waters rise.
- A wyvern swoops down to snatch a goat sunning itself on the rock.
- An injured messenger hides behind the rock, clutching the letter the party was sent to find.
