One free scene, or all of them
The free plan has the whole builder, the whole library and play mode, and keeps 1 saved scene. Premium keeps up to 200 and lets you bring your own 3D models and token portraits, for $6 a month or $48 a year.

The table itself is free
A free VTT that hides the good parts behind a subscription is the thing TerrainTale was built to not be. Premium adds room for more saved scenes and your own files on the table: imported models and pictures as token portraits. Everything below is the same on both plans.

Billing questions
What exactly is limited on the free plan?
Two things: the number of scenes saved in your library (1), and your own files on the table: importing 3D model files and using your own pictures as token portraits are Premium only. The builder, the whole built-in library, play mode, shared rooms, standee tokens and scene export and import are the same on both plans. You can build, play, export and re-import as much as you like; you just keep one scene at a time and build it from the library.
What does Premium cost?
$6 a month, or $48 a year (33% less). Prices are in USD; tax is added at checkout where it applies. You can switch between monthly and yearly, or cancel, at any time from your account page.
What happens to my scenes if I cancel?
Nothing is deleted, ever. Premium runs until the end of the period you paid for; after that you are back on the free plan with all your scenes still saved and openable, and the models and portraits you brought in still on them. You cannot add new scenes until you are under the free limit again, or bring in new models or portraits, until you upgrade. Any scene can be exported as JSON at any time.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Premium did not work out, write to [email protected] within 14 days of a payment and it is refunded, no questions asked. After that, cancelling stops the next payment.
Who handles the payment?
Checkout, cards and invoices are handled by Creem, our merchant of record. Your card details never touch our servers; we store only the subscription reference and its status.
Do players pay?
No. Players join a shared room by link with a free account and never need Premium. Only the account that keeps the scenes does.
Can I run my own copy instead?
Yes. The server is open and self-hostable; on your own copy there is no billing and no scene limit. Premium pays for the hosted one.
How do I reach a person?
Email [email protected]. Billing questions, refunds, bugs, feature requests: the same address, answered by the person who builds the table.
