About this model
A carpenter's handsaw with a worn steel blade and a wooden handle, the kind found in any workshop. The blade shows some rust and marks from use. It is about 2 ft long and very thin, so it occupies only a small part of a square when laid on a bench or floor.
Use it to dress a carpenter's shop, a shipyard, a barn or the cluttered tool corner of a fort. It is set dressing more than an obstacle, but it tells players what a room is for and can be a clue in itself. A desperate character might grab it as an improvised weapon in a pinch.
Ideas for the table
- Fresh sawdust and a damp saw on the bench suggest someone cut through the trapdoor very recently.
- The village carpenter's saw is missing, and the coffin maker swears he did not borrow it.
- Trapped in a collapsing barn, the party must saw through a beam before the roof comes down.
