About this model
A workshop air compressor with a cream-coloured horizontal tank, a rust-flecked motor and pump on top, a flywheel guard and a pair of small wheels with a towing handle. It looks old and heavily used. The unit is about 2 ft wide, 5.5 ft long and 4 ft tall, filling one square lengthwise.
Put it in a garage, a body shop, a construction site or a sci-fi maintenance bay. It gives low cover to someone crouching behind the tank. In a modern or pulp scene, a punctured tank or a running motor makes a loud distraction during a stealth approach.
Ideas for the table
- A mechanic hides a stolen package inside the empty compressor tank at the back of his garage.
- During a shootout in a body shop, a stray round hisses into the compressor and everyone dives for cover.
- Cultists use a rusty compressor to power their pneumatic ritual drums in an abandoned factory.
