About this model
A straight double-width segment of rectangular metal duct with an open end showing the hollow inside. The sheet metal is dark and sleek with bright seams. It runs about 4 ft long, 2 ft wide and 1.5 ft high, less than one square.
Use it as part of a ventilation run in a warehouse, a hospital basement or a starship corridor. It is low cover on the floor and an escape path when mounted overhead. Ductwork turns a simple heist map into a puzzle of routes. The wider profile also reads well as a main trunk line feeding smaller branches.
Ideas for the table
- A gas leak spreads through the double duct runs, and the party must seal each section in turn.
- A small android crawls out of the open duct and offers to guide the party to the control room.
- Guards hear a sneeze from the ventilation duct during a tense standoff.
