About this model
A curved section of rectangular sheet-metal air duct, dark and glossy with lighter seams along the joins. It sweeps through a quarter turn and looks industrial and clean. The piece covers about 3 by 3 ft, under one square, and is only 1.5 ft tall.
Use it with other duct pieces to build ventilation runs in a factory, a lab or a space station. Laid on the floor it is low clutter; raised on a ceiling it suggests a crawlspace. Either way it gives the party a route for sneaking and listening.
Ideas for the table
- The party crawls through the ventilation bends to bypass a security checkpoint, one turn at a time.
- Something scratches inside the ductwork above the office, and it is moving toward the server room.
- A thief maps the air ducts of a bank by tapping the bends and listening for echoes.
