About this model
A rectangular metal duct transition piece that angles upward, joining two levels of ductwork. It is dark sheet metal with lighter edging at the seams. The section is about 2 ft wide, 4 ft long and 3 ft high, within one square.
Use it where a ventilation run needs to climb or drop, in a factory, a parking structure or a sci-fi facility. It adds height variety to a ductwork maze and gives a little cover on the floor. A sloped duct is also a natural place for something to slide down unexpectedly.
Ideas for the table
- The party slides down the sloping duct into a guarded server room.
- A hacker hides a relay inside the duct transition, and the party must find it before the signal is traced.
- Rats living in the transition duct have chewed through the alarm wiring.
