About this model
A long straight run of rectangular metal ductwork, triple-length, dark and glossy with bright seams at the joins and open ends. It looks like standard industrial ventilation. The piece runs about 6 ft long, 2 ft wide and 1.5 ft high, a little over one square.
Use it to build long ventilation runs in factories, malls and space stations. Hung overhead it makes a crawlspace; laid along a floor it forms a low barrier. In a stealth scenario it gives players a long route to cover quietly. It saves joins when a corridor needs one unbroken stretch of ducting overhead.
Ideas for the table
- A runner crawls along the long duct to reach a lab before the lockdown seals the doors.
- Security has rigged motion sensors inside the ductwork, and the party must disable them one by one.
- The duct runs above a vault, and a thief lowers herself through a cut panel in the middle.
