About this model
A longer slab of fallen bark, about 2 ft from end to end and only half a foot across. Its weathered grey back is cracked along the grain, and patches of orange heartwood show where insects and rain have worked at it. It lies low, barely ankle height.
Use it to break up the ground around clearings, campsites and woodland paths. It is too small to matter in combat, but placed in a line it suggests a game trail or a dragged body. In a ruined orchard or a logging camp, a scattering of these pieces tells players at a glance that trees have been cut or have died here.
Ideas for the table
- Bark has been peeled from every tree around a witch's hut and laid in neat rows to dry for a ritual.
- A goblin ambush party has covered a pit trap with branches and bark debris on a narrow forest track.
- Beetle swarms burst from a rotten strip of bark when a curious player turns it over.
