About this model
A pair of small sandstone rocks sitting side by side, smooth on top and darker where they meet the soil. Together they take up an area about a foot wide and 2 ft long and stand a foot tall, well under a single square.
Use them as ground detail along paths, around campfires, at the edge of streams or in a dry riverbed. They do not give meaningful cover, but they break up the terrain and make placement of other props look natural. A pair beside a gravesite or a cairn reads as deliberate rather than random, which can prompt players to investigate.
Ideas for the table
- Two rocks placed side by side at a crossroads mark where a hanged man was buried.
- A traveller's campfire is ringed by stones like these, and one still holds a scrap of burnt letter beneath it.
- A pixie hides under the larger of the two rocks and offers riddles in exchange for honey.
