About this model
A long, low boulder with rough brown surfaces and pitted, crumbly texture. It is about 8.5 ft long, 4 ft deep and 3 ft high, so it lies across two squares like a short natural wall.
Place it along roads, at the edge of a meadow or across a dungeon cavern floor. Its length makes it a good line of half cover for a group of archers to crouch behind, and it is low enough to vault over. Use it to create a firing line in an ambush or a barricade the party can hold while waiting for reinforcements.
Ideas for the table
- The party crouches behind a long, low boulder as a column of hobgoblins marches along the road below.
- A druid has shaped the boulder into a natural bench where travellers rest before entering the sacred woods.
- Something has dragged this boulder across a cave mouth from the inside.
