About this model
A compact stone with rounded edges and a crumbly, granular surface in sandy brown tones. It is about 2 ft wide and 4 ft long and stands 2 ft tall, filling a single square and coming up to a human knee.
This is a filler rock for any outdoor setting: field edges, stream banks, desert paths and camp perimeters. It offers a little cover to a small creature or a crouching medium one and is easy to step over. Several of them scattered across a field turn plain ground into terrain the players have to think about when moving.
Ideas for the table
- A halfling rogue hides behind a small rock in an open field, waiting to slip into the camp at nightfall.
- Each stone in a ring of small boulders has been carefully placed to mark a fey crossing.
- Kobolds have rolled these rocks into a narrow trail to slow down pursuers.
