About this model
A benchtop drill press painted dark green, with a motor housing on top, a feed handle and an adjustable table on a steel column. It looks old but functional. It is about 1 ft wide, 2 ft deep and 3 ft tall, inside one square.
Place it in a workshop, a garage, a factory floor or a mad engineer's lab. It is clutter and light cover. A running press is noisy, which can cover the sound of a break-in. Line two or three along a wall with workbenches to build a convincing machine shop. Tools scattered on the floor nearby suggest a hasty exit.
Ideas for the table
- A mechanic is drilling into a stolen safe when the party walks in.
- The drill press in an abandoned factory starts running by itself at midnight.
- A villain threatens to use the press on a captured spy's hand.
