About this model
A slim birch with a white trunk and a light, airy crown of green leaves. It is about 13 ft by 14 ft wide and 24 ft tall, covering roughly three squares by three. The trunk is pale with dark flecks, and the branches are fine and drooping.
Plant it in northern forests, riverbanks, parks or village edges. A stand of birches looks bright and open. Each trunk offers partial cover and the canopy hides small climbers. Light comes through the canopy easily, so these trees suit bright daytime scenes. A grove reads well beside water or at the edge of a moor. Its thin trunk hides only a slender figure.
Ideas for the table
- A white birch grove marks the border of a fey realm, and passing through it changes the season.
- A bandit leader carves warnings into birch bark along the trail.
- A hunter waits in the birches by the stream for the party to cross.
