About this model
A sprawling flowering shrub or climbing vine with bright green leaves and small pale blossoms, spreading in long, loose runners. Its footprint is large, about 7 ft by 15 ft, and it rises to 7 ft, covering a block of around one by three squares at head height.
It works as a hedge in gardens, a vine across a ruin, or a thicket in a woodland clearing. On the grid it blocks sight and lets characters hide inside it, and the DM might treat pushing through it as difficult terrain. Use it to wall off part of a garden or to hide the entrance to something.
Ideas for the table
- A flowering thicket hides the door of an abandoned chapel the party has been searching for.
- Assassins wait among the vines of a noble's garden during a masquerade.
- A dryad's favourite shrub must be protected from loggers who plan to clear the grove.
