About this model
A wooden bucket made of vertical staves with iron hoops and a rope handle arching over the top. It is about 1 ft across and 2 ft tall including the handle, a small piece inside one square. The staves are darkened at the bottom where water has soaked in.
Put it by a well, a stable, a dairy, a ship's deck or a fire line in a burning village. It is an everyday object that makes working spaces feel real. In a fight it can be thrown, kicked over to make a slippery floor, or used to douse a fire.
Ideas for the table
- Villagers form a bucket chain to fight a barn fire set by raiders who are still nearby.
- A bucket lowered into the old well comes back up with something alive inside.
- A stable hand hides a stolen ring in the bottom of a water bucket.
