About this model
A two-wheeled wooden cart with high slatted sides, long shafts and a load box, the wood weathered and grey. It is about 10 ft long, 6.5 ft wide and 5.5 ft tall, two squares long. With no animal attached it reads as parked or abandoned, which can itself be a clue.
Use it on roads, in farmyards, at markets and in caravans. A cart gives good cover in an ambush, and it can be tipped over to block a lane or pushed downhill as a weapon. Its load is always worth a look, whether it holds turnips, corpses or a smuggled prisoner.
Ideas for the table
- Bandits overturn a cart to block the road ahead of a merchant's wagon.
- A hay cart rolls through the gate with the party hidden in its load.
- Zombies chase the party, and they must push a cart into the lane to buy time.
