About this model
A wide, shallow wooden tub of curved staves bound by two dark hoops, more washtub than pail. It is about 2 ft across and 1 ft tall, sitting inside a single square. Its rim is smoothed by years of hands lifting it.
Place it in a laundry, a kitchen yard, a tannery, a fishmonger's stall or a bathhouse. It reads as hard daily work. On the map it is low clutter someone can stumble over, and it holds water, fish, washing or something that should not be in there. Steam rising from it in your description tells players the laundry is still being done.
Ideas for the table
- A washerwoman scrubbing at a tub keeps glancing at the alley where the party is meant to meet a contact.
- A fishmonger's tub holds a catch of eels, one of which is not quite an eel.
- Rogues dump a tub of soapy water across the floor to make pursuers slip.
