About this model
A tangle of thin metal pipes running along the floor and bending up and down in sections. It covers about 7 ft by 20 ft, a strip of four squares, and stands about 4 ft tall. The pipes are thin and pale, with sharp right-angle bends. They also mark out walkways and hazards in industrial areas.
Use it in engine rooms, factories, space station corridors and sewers. Pipes add clutter and make a space feel mechanical. In a fight they slow movement and give low cover, and a burst pipe makes a good hazard. Running them along corridor walls or between machines gives a station a lived-in, functional look.
Ideas for the table
- A burst pipe floods a corridor with steam during a firefight.
- The party must follow the pipes to find the station's reactor room.
- A creature hides among the pipes of an engine room.
