Wooden Bowl, a props and clutter 3D model for D&D battle maps

About this model

A rough hand-carved wooden bowl with an uneven, wavy rim and a dark oiled finish that shows the grain. It is about 1 ft across and half a foot deep, small enough for a table top. Knife marks are still visible inside the hollow.

Set it on a peasant's table, in a monk's cell, beside a camp fire or in a druid's hut. It speaks of simple, self-made living. In play it is set dressing, a container for an offering, or a bowl a character uses to scry or mix a remedy.

Ideas for the table

  • A wooden bowl of water left at the forest shrine reflects a face that does not belong to the viewer.
  • Villagers leave porridge in carved bowls for the house spirit, and tonight the bowls were not emptied.
  • A hermit offers the party stew in rough bowls and asks for a story in exchange.
