About this model
A tall metal can with a pale painted finish, a domed lid and a side handle, much like an old milk churn. It looks scuffed and practical. The container is about half a foot wide and 1 ft tall, small enough to sit on a cart or by a doorstep.
It fits a dairy, a farm courtyard, a market stall or a ship's galley. In a scene it suggests trade and daily routine, and it can hold anything from milk to lamp oil to contraband. A row of them on a cart gives the party a reason to search a wagon at a checkpoint.
Ideas for the table
- Smugglers move stolen silver through the city gates hidden in milk churns.
- A farmer's churn has been filled with blood instead of milk, and the village elder wants answers.
- During a cart chase, the cans tumble off the back and roll under the horses of the pursuers.
