About this model
A white ceramic jug with a wide spout and a painted pattern of pink roses and green leaves. It looks like a household pitcher from a country kitchen or a lady's washstand. The jug is about 1 ft across including the handle and half a foot tall, a small tabletop item.
Place it on a kitchen table, a dresser in a guest room or the bar of a quiet inn. It adds warmth and domestic detail to a scene. Players may find water, milk or something stronger in it, and a jug of wine left in the right place can be the start of a poisoning mystery.
Ideas for the table
- The milk in the flowered jug has curdled overnight, a sure sign the hag has visited the farm.
- A message is hidden in the glaze pattern of the jug, readable only under moonlight.
- The innkeeper's prized jug gets smashed in a brawl, and she demands the party pay for it.
