About this model
A woodsman's felling axe with a black steel head and a long, slightly curved wooden handle. It stands about 2 ft tall when propped up and is very slim.
Place it by a woodpile, in a chopping block, at a lumber camp or in a hunting lodge. It is a prop rather than terrain. An axe stuck in a stump tells players a woodcutter is nearby, or was. It is also an improvised weapon for an unarmed character and an obvious tool for cutting through a door or barricade. It also leans well against a cabin wall.
Ideas for the table
- An axe left in a chopping block beside a cottage still has fresh blood on its blade.
- The party needs to chop through a barricade of logs before the flood rises.
- A woodcutter's axe has been enchanted to hunt down the beast that killed its owner.
