About this model
A wooden A-frame sandwich board with a black chalkboard panel and an orange-brown timber frame. It stands about 5 ft tall, 3 ft wide and 2.5 ft deep when opened, covering about one square.
Put it outside taverns, shops, cafés or market stalls in a city scene, fantasy or modern. It is light furniture that gives a little cover and can be kicked over. As a prop, its main job is to show writing: the day's menu, prices, a warning or a coded message that only certain players will understand.
Ideas for the table
- The tavern's chalkboard sign lists a special that is actually a code for the thieves' guild meeting.
- A chalkboard outside a café warns of a curfew after two more disappearances in the district.
- In a street chase, the fleeing pickpocket kicks a sandwich board into the party's path.
