About this model
A slightly smaller tall shrub with feathery grey-green foliage and a loose, vase-shaped outline. It is about 5 ft by 4 ft and 5.5 ft high, a little under a square and about shoulder height.
Use it in wild meadows, roadsides and scrubby hills. Its open foliage gives light cover and can hide a crouching figure. Mixed with the larger variants it creates natural variety in a scene so the vegetation does not look stamped out of a mould. Its smaller size makes it handy for filling the space between big trees and rocks, so the vegetation steps down naturally toward a path or clearing edge.
Ideas for the table
- A wounded deer collapses behind a shoulder-high shrub, and the hunters following it are not entirely human.
- A gnoll pack lies in wait in roadside scrub for the next merchant cart.
- Fey lights drift among the shrubs at dusk, leading travellers off the path.
