About this model
A red plastic fuel can, squat and boxy, with a black cap and a faded warning label. It is the civilian kind kept in a garden shed. It is about a foot in every direction. It is light enough to carry in one hand when full. Leave one by a generator, a boat or a car and players will draw their own conclusions about what it is for, and whether there is enough left to use.
Use it in garages, sheds, farms and roadside stops. Like any fuel can, it raises the stakes when fire is involved. It is also an easy object for players to pick up and carry.
Ideas for the table
- A child in the farmhouse hides a plastic can that turns out to be full of petrol.
- The fuel can in the shed is empty, so the generator will not start.
- The arsonist left a can behind with a partial fingerprint.
