About this model
A pipe junction with a large red valve wheel, flanged ports and a sturdy dark body. It is the control piece of the pipe set, about a foot across and 1.5 ft tall. The wheel is bright red so it stands out against the grimy metal. A valve also invites arguments about which way is open and which is shut.
Place it where pipe runs meet in a boiler room, pump station or sewer. It is an interactive prop: turning the valve can stop a flood, release steam or cut off gas. Players love a wheel they can turn, so put it where turning it changes the fight.
Ideas for the table
- Turning the valve drains the flooded chamber, but floods the next one.
- The valve wheel has been removed, and the party needs a substitute.
- Someone must hold the valve shut while the others fight off the attackers.
