About this model
A pair of red cast iron fire hydrants with flaking paint and side outlets, one clean and one more weathered. They look like the hydrants on any old city street. Together they take up about 3 ft by 1 ft and stand 2.5 ft tall.
Place them along kerbs and pavements to make a modern street map feel lived in. They are small but solid, so a crouching character can use one as a little cover. They are also a natural setpiece: knock off a cap and the street floods with water.
Ideas for the table
- A truck clips the hydrant and a jet of water knocks the nearest fighter off their feet.
- A dead drop is taped beneath the hydrant cap.
- Firefighters need the hydrant cleared of parked cars before the warehouse burns down.
