About this model
An old mechanical cash register with a cream metal body, rows of number keys, a display top and a black cash drawer underneath. It looks vintage and heavy. The register is about 2 ft wide, 2 ft deep and 2 ft tall, inside one square.
Put it on a shop counter, a diner, a bar or a general store in a modern or pulp setting. It is set dressing and a target in any robbery. Its ring is loud, which makes it useful for a sudden noise in a quiet scene.
Ideas for the table
- Robbers empty the till of a corner store, and the party arrives as the drawer slams shut.
- A shopkeeper keeps a revolver in the cash drawer and is not afraid to use it.
- The register's receipt roll holds a printed message the previous owner never meant anyone to read.
