About this model
A plaster wall section with a tall, square-topped doorway opening. The finish is the same smooth greyish beige as the plain wall. It measures 5 ft wide, 1 ft thick and 7 ft tall, and the gap is wide enough for one creature to pass.
This is the everyday entrance for homes, inns, shops and offices. Put a door token or a curtain in it, or leave it open. A doorway is the classic choke point, so it shapes almost every indoor fight: who stands in it, who waits beside it, and who gets ambushed walking through it.
Ideas for the table
- Thugs wait on either side of a plastered doorway, and the party hears breathing before they step through.
- A tailor's shop doorway is the only exit when the mannequins come alive.
- The city watch must hold a single doorway while a fire spreads through the building behind them.
