About this model
A second style of thick wall end, slightly taller with a rounded top and crenellations. It is about 13 ft by 15 ft and 26.5 ft tall.
Use it to finish a wall in a ruin, at a river bank or beside a gate. It gives a strong flank for defenders and blocks movement completely. Having two end styles lets a builder avoid repeated shapes, which makes a castle look built over time. A lone wall end in an open field also makes a striking ruin, the last standing piece of a fort that fell in some old war, and a good place to camp or ambush.
Ideas for the table
- A river laps at the base of the wall end, and a rope ladder dangles into the water.
- Defenders on the wall end can fire into the gatehouse passage from the side.
- A collapsed wall end is the only way into the abandoned keep.
