About this model
A dungeon wall section of rough mottled stone with a tall, square-topped doorway. It is 5 ft wide, 1 ft thick and 7 ft tall, fitting one grid edge. The opening is square and tall, with straight stone jambs.
Use it for cell doors, chamber entrances and passages between dungeon rooms. Place a door in the opening or leave it empty. It makes a natural choke point. Add a heavy wooden door for a cell block or a vault. It is the classic place for a trap, a lock or a guard. A party stacking up on either side of a doorway is one of the oldest tactical scenes in the game.
Ideas for the table
- A locked door in the dungeon wall hides a treasure room.
- Orcs hold the doorway into their chieftain's chamber.
- A door creaks open on its own, revealing a dark corridor beyond.
