About this model
A floor tile of cobblestones overgrown with yellow-green moss. It is 5 ft by 5 ft, one grid square, and lies flat on the ground. Moss fills the gaps and creeps over the stones, softening every edge.
Use it to pave ruined courtyards, forgotten streets, abandoned temples and overgrown gardens. It gives a neglected, ancient feel. Combine it with mossy walls for a complete ruin. It drapes over the terrain so overgrown paths follow the ground. Mix it with plain cobbles to show where a road is falling into neglect. It suits fey ruins, abandoned villages and haunted estates. Add bushes and a dead tree to finish the effect.
Ideas for the table
- A mossy courtyard hides a pressure plate trap.
- Spirits walk the mossy streets of a ruined town at night.
- A cultist's footprints in the moss lead to a hidden chapel.
