About this model
A carpet of dry fallen leaves in tans, golds and browns, crisp and loosely layered. It suggests an autumn wood or a long-untended garden where nothing has been swept for months. Each tile covers one 5 ft square and lies flat on the ground.
Use it under deciduous trees, around forgotten ruins, in autumn festivals and on hunting trails. It softens the look of a forest map and pairs naturally with orange-leaved trees. At the table it is a useful prompt for noise and hidden things: a pit trap, a lost ring or a sleeping snake can all lie beneath the leaves.
Ideas for the table
- A harvest feast in an autumn grove is interrupted by twig blights rising out of the leaf litter.
- Leaves have filled a dry ditch around a ruined chapel, hiding a drop that the first runner will discover.
- A child's lost locket glints somewhere in a square of fallen leaves, and something else is searching too.
