About this model
A floor tile of packed brown earth with small stones and a dusty surface. It is 5 ft by 5 ft, one grid square, and lies flat on the ground. It looks dry and trodden, with a few pebbles pressed into the surface.
Use it to pave paths, farmyards, camps, barn floors and humble cottages. It gives the ground a rough, rural feel. Combine it with wooden walls for a complete rustic scene. It drapes over the terrain so paths follow every rise and dip. Lay it in strips through grass for roads and tracks, or fill a cottage interior for a poor household. It also suits a fighting pit or an arena floor.
Ideas for the table
- Hoofprints in the dirt floor of the barn show the thieves came on horseback.
- A shallow grave is dug in the dirt floor of an abandoned cabin.
- Bandits ambush the party on a dirt road through the forest.
