About this model
A lidded wicker basket, round and tightly woven in light tan cane, with its lid lifted off and leaning against the side. It is about 1 ft across and half a foot high, small enough to share a square with a figure. The weave is tight enough to hold grain or dried herbs.
Set it in a herbalist's shop, a snake charmer's stall, a granary or a storeroom. A closed basket invites players to open it, which is useful for both treasure and surprises. It is clutter rather than cover, but it can hold anything the story needs.
Ideas for the table
- A snake charmer's lidded basket is empty, and the snake is somewhere in the crowded bazaar.
- A basket of seeds hides a smuggled vial of dragon venom.
- Kidnappers carry off a baby in a lidded basket, and the party must pick the right cart in a busy market.
