About this model
A modern sledgehammer with a heavy black steel head and a long yellow fibreglass handle. It stands roughly 3.5 ft tall when propped on its head, and its footprint is tiny, a fraction of a single square.
This one belongs in present-day or near-future games: a construction site, a garage, a demolition crew's van or a horror survivor's improvised arsenal. In a fantasy campaign it reads as anachronistic, so keep it for modern settings. Lean it against a wall as a pickup weapon, a tool for breaking down a door, or a clue that someone has been tearing through plaster.
Ideas for the table
- Fresh holes in a basement wall and this hammer left beside them suggest the previous tenant was looking for something.
- Zombies are clawing at a boarded window, and the only heavy tool in reach is a sledgehammer by the generator.
- A rival crew left their hammer behind at a half-demolished warehouse, its handle stamped with the name of a known gang.
