About this model
A stinging nettle plant with a single upright stem and pairs of serrated green leaves. It looks like the common weed found along hedges and ditches. The plant is about half a foot wide and half a foot tall in its bounding box, small on the grid.
Use it along woodland edges, ditches, overgrown gardens and abandoned farmsteads. Nettles say a place is wild and neglected. A DM might rule a thick patch unpleasant to push through, and nettles are useful to a herbalist or a druid looking for ingredients.
Ideas for the table
- The witch's cottage is surrounded by nettles, and anyone walking straight through gets a nasty sting.
- A healer asks the party to gather nettles for a fever remedy in the haunted woods.
- Nettles grow thickest over the spot where the old well was filled in.
