About this model
A small weed with a few broad green leaves, one turning yellow, sprouting low from the ground. It looks slightly tired, like a plant at the end of a dry summer. The weed is about half a foot across and only a few inches tall.
Scatter it around ruins, rubble, fence lines and kitchen gardens. Small details like this help a scene feel lived in or abandoned. On the map it is pure ground dressing, but it adds variety among grass, rocks and paving. Tuck one at the foot of a doorstep or in the corner of a stable yard, where nobody has bothered to pull it. The yellow leaf suggests drought or poor soil.
Ideas for the table
- Yellowing weeds around the well hint that the water has been poisoned.
- A sprite asleep under the weed's leaves wakes grumpy when trodden on.
- The herbalist pays well for a basket of these weeds, claiming they cure the local cough.
