About this model
A bushy tuft of grass with thin, dark green blades forming a dense rounded mound. It looks fresh and thick, like grass in a damp meadow. The tuft is about 1 ft wide and half a foot tall.
Use it with its siblings to give fields, verges and clearings a lush look. It suits farmland, lakeshores and the wilder corners of a castle grounds. On the map it does not block anything by itself, but repeated across an area it signals rough natural ground. Spread a dozen in a loose band and the party has an obvious place to crawl through unseen. A few by a stream bank also make the water's edge feel softer.
Ideas for the table
- A shepherd's dog finds something buried in the long grass by the lake and will not leave it.
- Will-o'-wisps flicker above the grass at night, luring travellers towards the marsh.
- The party searches the meadow grass for a fallen arrow carrying a message.
