About this model
A small tuft of wild grass with thin, pale green and straw-coloured blades sprouting from a single point. It looks dry and scruffy, like grass at the side of a road. The clump is about 1 ft across and 1 ft tall.
Scatter it across meadows, roadsides, ruins and field edges to break up flat ground. A handful of tufts makes terrain look natural and untended. It does not block movement or sight, but many clumps together can suggest rough grassland where a small creature might stay low. Placed along the edges of a dirt track, the tufts make the road read as old and little used.
Ideas for the table
- Tufts of grass growing through the old road mark where the abandoned village begins.
- A snake hidden in a grass tuft bites the first character to walk past without looking.
- The tracker finds blood on a tuft of grass, still wet, leading away from the camp.
