About this model
A straight run of thin fortress wall with a crenellated top, built of rough stone. It is about 8.5 ft thick, 50 ft long and 29 ft tall, ten squares in length.
Use it for inner walls, small forts, town walls and ruined defences. It is impassable without climbing or a breach and blocks line of sight. The narrower top gives defenders less room, so fights on its walkway are tight and dangerous. Lay several end to end for a town wall, or use one alone in a field as the ruin of a fort that once stood here. A single breach in the middle makes a strong focus for a siege.
Ideas for the table
- Guards patrol the narrow walkway in single file, making it hard for anyone to pass them.
- A section of wall has been undermined by tunnelling gnomes and may collapse.
- The party scales the wall using grappling hooks during a storm.
