About this model
A red steel oil drum with a yellow hazard label and scraped paint. It is a standard barrel about 2 ft across and 3 ft tall. Its paint is scraped and dented at the rim. A row of drums can wall off part of a yard, and a single one standing alone by a fire pit makes a good meeting point for raiders or workers. Players will always ask what is inside, so decide before the session.
Place it in garages, docks, refineries and wasteland camps. The warning sticker tells players it holds something flammable. It provides cover for a crouching character and becomes a hazard if fire is involved.
Ideas for the table
- A stray shot punctures the drum, and fuel spreads across the floor.
- Raiders roll a burning drum down the ramp at the party.
- Someone is hiding inside an empty drum in the yard.
