About this model
A crossarm assembly for a utility pole, with two parallel dark beams, insulators and dangling wires. It looks like the top of a power line pole. It spans about 4 ft wide, 3 ft deep and 1.5 ft tall, within one square.
Mount it atop a pole on a street, rural road or industrial area. It is mostly set dressing. Downed lines from it can be ruled a hazardous zone in a storm scene. Repeated along a road, these fittings tell players they are in a modern setting at a glance. They also give a climber something to grab at the top of a pole.
Ideas for the table
- A storm knocks the crossarm loose and live wires whip across the road.
- A lineman is trapped on the pole while zombies gather below.
- A spy taps a phone line from the crossarm of a pole outside the embassy.
