About this model
Another preset offset crossarm for a utility pole, with its beams shifted to one side and a cluster of insulators and cables. It looks weathered and functional. It spans about 4 by 3 ft and stands 1.5 ft tall, within one square.
Use it where power lines bend around a corner on a street map. It is decoration that sells a modern environment. Hanging wires make good hazards in disaster or post-apocalyptic scenes. Alternating it with the other presets keeps a line of poles from looking cloned. Crows, lanterns or flags hung from it add a story to an otherwise plain fitting.
Ideas for the table
- A ghost is seen sitting on the crossarm of the pole outside the haunted house.
- A downed line from the offset arm blocks the only road out of town.
- A thief uses the wires to slide from one rooftop to another.
