About this model
A small market stall under a pale fabric canopy, its table loaded with produce, bread, baskets and pots, set on a square of grey cobbles. It covers about 10 ft by 10 ft, two squares on a side, and stands about 5 ft tall.
Use it in market squares, festivals and town streets to make a place feel busy. Stalls give light cover and break up open ground, and their goods make good improvised weapons and distractions. A row of them turns a plaza into narrow lanes that suit chases and pickpocketing.
Ideas for the table
- A food seller drops his apples to block the path of a fleeing thief, and the party must chase her through the market.
- A merchant at a food stall is selling poisoned bread, and the party must work out who paid him.
- A festival brawl turns a stall's pots and pans into the weapons of choice.
