About this model
A complete section of wooden pier with grey planked decking raised on tall posts and cross braces. The wood is weathered and stained. It covers about 8 ft by 11.5 ft, roughly two squares by two and a bit, and stands about 14 ft high from the bottom of the posts.
Chain sections together to build a dock, a jetty or a stilted walkway over a marsh or harbour. The raised deck creates a two-level battle: fighters on top, creatures lurking in the water or shadows below. Falling off is a real risk, and archers on the deck have a clear view across the water.
Ideas for the table
- Pirates moor beside the pier at dusk and the party must stop them unloading their cargo.
- Something huge bumps the pier posts from below, shaking the deck under the characters' feet.
- A fisherman's hut at the end of the pier hides the cult's meeting place.
