About this model
A pier section with a planked deck on weathered posts, one side slightly broken and uneven. The timber is grey and salt-worn. It is about 8.5 ft by 11 ft and around 12.5 ft tall from post foot to deck.
Use it to extend a jetty or to show a pier in poor repair. The rough edge invites players to watch their footing, and the open space below the deck is a good hiding place for smugglers, river monsters or a rowing boat. Mix it with other sections to avoid a repeated look.
Ideas for the table
- The broken end of the pier hides a rope leading down to a submerged chest.
- A gang of dockside thugs ambushes the party halfway along the creaking pier.
- Harbour guards close in from both ends of the pier, and the only escape is into the water.
